Baltimore resident Andrew Fagan is a multiple national-record holder and national champion, but he pulled off a Canadian first in September competing in the World Archery Field Championships in Alberta.
Playing in team competition, he helped lead Canada to a bronze medal — the first time Canada has medalled in the annual competition.
“This was a history making day for Canada as we have never had a men’s team win a medal at a world field championships before,” said Fagan, who works as a chiropractor in Port Hope.
